About MMC

Philosophy

Mindful Mama Consulting was born out of a need for services for children who are on the cusp of a diagnosis or are undiagnosed. We saw a need and decided to use our collective knowledge and gifts to fill that need.

At Mindful Mama Consulting (MMC), we believe that everyones mind is beautiful and limitless. We acknowledge that everyone learns differently. Every individual deserves quality education, support, and care. Our goal is to find the way our students’ brains operate and adapt our support to suit each individual student.

Our goal at MMC is to see each individual, create an individualized plan, collaborate with other agencies, and support the caretakers in helping their students thrive. Through research, hard work, dedication, and compassion, we aim to make a difference in the lives of the families we work with. We strive to empower each caretaker with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to be able to meet his/her child’s educational, social-emotional, and daily needs.

The MMC team is culturally informed and responsive to differences of beliefs, lifestyles, and parenting strategies. Our culturally diverse team believes that all minds, bodies, and hearts are beautiful and of equal importance. We are accepting of all appropriate differences and practices. During our sessions, we provide a safe space for questions, learning, and growth. We affirm that each family is unique and important. Our differences are what make this world a beautiful place.

Here at MMC, we commit to assist parents in navigating behaviors, milestones, and the hard things.

Meet the Founder

Mindful Mama Consulting (MMC) was founded in 2019, by Hannah Haag.

Mrs Haag (Mrs H) began her career in Early Childhood Education in 2009. While working as a Behavioral Therapist, she discovered she was passionate about working with young children who think outside of the box. She loved helping children who think differently to learn to embrace their individuality and thrive.

In 2013, Mrs H. earned her Bachelor of Arts from CSU Fresno, in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Studies. After getting married in 2015, she decided to pursue higher education in hopes of one day owning and running her own behavioral company. Mrs H graduated with her Master of Arts in Human Behavior in 2017. It was then that she transitioned to becoming a Special Education Teacher. She taught in the Emotional Disturbance program for 3rd-6th grade students.

At the end of 2018, Mrs H and her husband welcomed their first baby. While on maternity leave, Mrs H missed working daily with students and on behaviors. This is when she started a blog. From that blog grew a following. That following started asking for services. Those services led to Mindful Mama Consulting being developed and founded. Mrs H developed relationships with Pediatricians, General Practitioners, and Childcare Centers, who consistently sent her referrals.

The combination of Mrs H being a mom, military spouse, teacher, foster parent, and the collective work experience of our staff, give MMC the right formula for success. With compassion, understanding, dedication, knowledge, and analytical tools, we are able to cultivate unique and valuable relationships between students, their families, and our staff.
