Infant Family Support Plan
Infant Family Support Plan (IFSP), is commonly used in early intervention services. Students who receive these services may qualify due to premature birth, cognitive delays, speech delays, or other reasons. An IFSP, is the plan that spells out what is going on with the child, what services will be provided, and how they will be provided.
Individualized Education Plan
Individualized Education Plan (IEP) is a common plan for children in kindergarten through twelfth grade. This plan addressees and functional, behavioral, or cognitive concern/delay that affects a child’s education. These plans are often wordy and complex. They are written with technical jargon that can be confusing and overwhelming.
Section 504 Plan
A Section 504 plan is a legal document that outlines accommodations and modifications for students with disabilities who need them to participate in and benefit from school. It’s part of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in programs receiving federal funding, including schools. Essentially, a 504 plan ensures that students with disabilities have equal access to education and related activities.
